BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. and WALPOLE — During the holiday season officers from the Bellows Falls Police Department and the Walpole Police Department are going to be conducting saturated patrols in an effort to detect impaired drivers and enforce state motor vehicle laws to keep our roadways safe. From now and through the New Year the Bellows Falls Police and Walpole Police Departments will be working collaboratively in an effort to reduce traffic crashes on our highways/roadways. This is a joint effort between the two departments in bordering states.
During the holiday season there will be many parties and or gatherings where people have the potential to make a poor decision to operate under the influence of alcohol and or drugs. This poses a serious risk to others on our highways/roadways in both Vermont and New Hampshire. Please make the right decision to plan ahead and use a designated driver or seek alternate transportation.
