BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. — The Bellows Falls Historical Society dedicated their Labyrinth and Poet’s Seat in November as the last major piece of the Riverfront Park, a beautiful extension of the Adam’s Grist Mill, their museum of farm machinery, mill paraphernalia and so much more. Now the society is on the move! We have loaded truck-fulls of ephemera, photographs, textiles, artifacts, furniture, collections … decades and centuries of history and views of Bellows Falls and a peek into the lives of people and families and events that paint the story of our colorful and enigmatic past,
We are carefully moving all of these treasures to our new location at 31 Westminster Street. The middle storefront in the beautiful Arms Block will be the new home to our collection where the village and the square will have new and open access to their history. I will also be a space for meetings and workshops
Several volunteers are helping with the move while other people have made generous donations to the Society for items that we need once we start setting up. Some people have donated pieces of furniture or file cabinets and yet others have donated $1. All of these people are truly dear to us and we thank them so much! If you would like to donate please go to Bellows Falls Historical Society.org, or mail your donation to Bellows Falls Historical Society, Box176, Bellows Falls, VT 05101.or contact us at Bellows Falls Historical Society on Facebook.
