BOLTON, Vt. — On Jan. 27 at 7:44 p.m., Vermont State troopers responded to the 68.2 mile marker on I-89 southbound for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a 2011 Western Star tractor trailer and a 2007 Audi A4. The roads were snow covered and it was snowing and windy.
As a result of the crash the Audi, driven by Tammy Schroeder, 59, of Charlestown, went off the median side of the road and ended up in a snowbank. Investigation revealed that the tractor trailer, driven by Justin Gibbs, 35, of Barre, Vermont, was passing Schroeder on the right side when the two vehicles made contact which caused Schroeder to go off the road and into a snowbank on the median side, sustaining damage all along the right side. The tractor trailer sustained minor damage on the left bumper and wheel.
Anyone who witnessed this crash is asked to call the Vermont State Police.
