SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — On Jan. 12 at 11:57 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the area of McDonalds at 1 Chester Road in Springfield, Vermont where there was a report of a vehicle at the drive-thru of McDonalds whose occupants were being belligerent and appeared to be intoxicated.
The employee at McDonalds told the officer there were open containers in the vehicle as well.
Upon arrival the offficer noticed the vehicle still in the drive-thru. He advised the vehicle to pull up to a parking space at the McDonalds, where he made contact with the operator/defendant. Upon further investigation, the defendant was alleged to be operating the motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.
The defendant was cited to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on Jan. 29 at 8 a.m. to answer to the alleged charge of driving under the influence.
