WASHINGTON — Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement on House passage of H.R. 790, legislation that would give federal employees a 2.6-percent pay raise in 2019. The bill would rescind the order from President Trump last year that froze pay for civilian workers.
“Federal employees are dedicated public servants who perform essential services for all Americans,” said Kuster. “We’ve seen in the past month the commitment of hundreds of thousands of workers who continued to deliver for the American people despite not receiving a paycheck. This vote affirms our commitment to federal employees and their families in New Hampshire and across the country. I urge the Senate to take up this measure promptly.”
