HARTLAND, Vt. — On Feb. 2 at 1:35 a.m., Vermont State Police responded to the report of an assault that had occurred on Martinsville Road in Hartland. Troopers met with the victim, Nicholas Lombardi, 32 of West Lebanon. Investigation revealed that Lombardi was struck in the face by John Taylor, 64, of Hartland at the above address. Taylor was located later in the day and was cited to appear in the Windsor County Superior Court Criminal Division at 8 a.m. on March 12 to answer the charge.
