Don’t bash the mayor

To the editor,

With all the mayoral bashing, including that of the editor of the Eagle Times, I needed comment: Not one person asked the mayor for her input or comment. Our mayor has given more to this community than any five people complainers. Did you know she plants all the flowers around the Civil War statue in Broad Street Park at her own expense every year.

Did you know she can often be seen at the bullpen weeding or planting through out the year or standing in all kinds of weather to greet folks to our community at the only train stop on the western side of New Hampshire or promoting Claremont in Concord, White River Junction, and Manchester, all at her own expense and has been instrumental in bringing order, professionalism and strength to the city council. Along with showing up at virtually every new business opening, public event, and award ceremony Claremont has, but also as made many a home visit to citizens in need, has donated thousands to various local charities and served on the school board, served as a state rep and on various local committees to better Claremont. Our mayor is certainly one to be proud of and will not toot her own horn, but I will. And lest you forget while you are here whining about how she has been doing a horrible job, she was protecting your right to voice your opinion for 22 years with the NSA and CIA doing what needs to be done. How about thanking her instead.
