HARTLAND, Vt. — On Feb. 1 at 1:55 p.m., a trooper from the Vermont State Police, Royalton Barracks responded to a two-car crash that had just occurred at the intersection of Mace Hill and Center of Town roads in the town of Hartland. The weather was sunny, but the roads were covered with packed snow and ice.
The investigation revealed that Nancy Murphy, 74, of Hartland was traveling south on Center of Town Road and failed to come to a stop at the intersection with Mace Hill. Her 2017 Subaru Forester entered the intersection in front of a westbound 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Brin Keenan, 41, of Hartland. The near head-on collision occurred in the middle of the intersection of Mace Hill and Center of Town roads causing significant front-end damage to both vehicles.
All occupants of the vehicles were wearing seat belts and were not injured.
