WESTMINSTER, Vt. — On Feb. 3 at 5:43 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Birchview Heights in the town of Westminster, Vermont. Troopers arrived on scene and observed a 2013 Ford truck off the road in a snow bank.
During the investigation it was determined that Paul E. Banik, 53, of Westminster was the operator of the above vehicle. Banik was later arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Banik was transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Westminster for processing.
Banik was released with a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Feb. 19 at 8 a.m. to answer to the above charges.
