Violating pre-trial conditions

WESTMINSTER, Vt. — On Feb. 2 at 10:46 a.m., Vermont State Police stopped Gilbert Ramirez, 57, of Putney at the intersection of Wellington Heights and Kurn Hattin Road in the town of Westminster, Vermont. Ramirez was a person of interest in an ongoing investigation and was known to have a suspended driver’s license.

Investigation revealed that Ramirez had been drinking and was in violation of pretrial condition of release. Ramirez was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, giving false reports to law enforcement authorities, and violation of conditions of release. He was transported to the Westminster State Police Barracks for processing.

Ramirez was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility without bail. He was scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Feb. 4 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the above charges.
