NEWPORT — Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the promotion of Susan Ohlson to assistant vice president, compliance analyst. Susan joined the Bank in 2007 as a commercial lending assistant. In 2011 she was promoted to the compliance department as a compliance monitor. In her current role as compliance analyst, Susan actively works with department managers instituting procedures and controls to prevent compliance errors, and continually monitors and tests adherence to applicable laws and regulations recommending corrective action as needed.
Before joining the Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Susan worked in the fields of law and real estate. She is preparing to study for her certified regulatory compliance manager (CRCM) designation. Susan and her husband, Craig, reside in Claremont, New Hampshire; the town where Susan grew up. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking and spending time with family.
