Bellows Falls 54, Hartford 44
“Hartford plays a lot tougher than their record,” said BF head coach Todd Wells. “They came off a big win over Fair Haven on Valentine’s Day.” BF had a ten-point lead at halftime 33-23 and then Hartford held the Terriers to just three points in the third. BF led 36-32 after three. In the fourth, BF settled down. “We finally played with composure, didn’t panic and finished the game on top,” said Wells. “Hopefully we can carry that momentum for the last week of the season and into the playoffs.” Taylor Goodell led the Terries with 21 points while Halle Dickerson added another 16. Kennedy Mullen led Hartford with 11. BF improves to 13-4.
Fair Haven 36, Windsor 19
Fair Haven got out to an 8-4 lead after the first quarter, and then held the Yellow Jackets to just five points over the next two quarters. Fair Haven led 24-9 entering the fourth quarter. With the win, Fair Haven secured the MVL ‘B’ Division title. Windsor is 14-4 and has two games left before playoffs roll around.
Woodsville 57, Sunapee 45
The No. 13 seed Lakers put up a fight on the road at No. 4 Woodsville Monday night in D-IV first round action. Woodsville led 38-34 entering the fourth quarter, but then outplayed the Lakers in the final frame. Woodsville moves on to play No. 5 Groveton while the Lakers end their season with a 9-10 record.
