To the editor,
This letter is in regard to the Miss N.H. Pageant winner accepting a fur coat made from the skins of trapped New Hampshire animals. Wow, really? Animal abuse and murder is associated with this contest? The whole concept of trapping an innocent animal who just wants to live its life, having it terrified and often hurting in a trap, and then being bludgeoned to death by a trapper is, to me, appallingly cruel, totally unnecessary, and a holdover from a more primitive and barbaric past. It’s way past time to end this brutal tradition. Stop taking coats from a group of people who love hurting and killing our wildlife.
