Sunapee 7, Wilton-Lyndeborough 4
The Laker boys improve to 2-0 on the young season with the road win.
“We played some pretty good defense including a 6-4-3 double play,” said Lakers coach Tom Frederick.
For Sunapee, Darren Hulton was 3-for-3 with a triple, a double and 2 RBIs. Jackson Cooney was 2-for-4. Harper Flint went 2-for-3.
On the mound for the Lakers, Hulton pitched 4 innings, with 7 Ks and 3 runs allowed. Flint pitched the final 3 innings, with 3 Ks and 1 run.
Sunapee goes to Nute on Wednesday.
Manchester West 8, Kearsarge 7
The Cougars stayed in it late but Manchester West pulled away with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, scoring on an error.
“Tough way to lose our first game with multiple errors in the last inning,” said Kearsarge head coach Jon Hamel. “I was proud of the way we battled and there were many teachable moments to be gained from the game.”
Each team posted 7 hits in the game. For Kearsarge, Aiden Markoff was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and a run. Gabe Benedict was 2-for-3. Brendan Akpan and Noah Cooper each had an RBI.
SOFTBALL
Wilton-Lyndeborough 17, Sunapee 5
The Lakers were up 5 to 1 going into the second inning, before letting the game slip away with walks and errors.
Ellie Frederick went 3-for-3 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Elizabeth Bennett was 1-for-2 with a run, and Miah Hamm had 2 RBIs.
The Laker girls fall to 0-2 and travel to Derryfield on Friday.
Windsor 17, Hartford 1
“Overall, great team effort today,” said Windsor coach Katelyn Curtis. “We made the plays in the field and everyone knew their responsibilities. Our hitting was strong and everyone contributed. We made only 2 errors.”
Peyton Richardson pitched for the Jacks, only just 3 hits and 1 run.
GIRLS TENNIS
Kearsarge 9, Stevens 0
Gusty winds and a strong opponent were too much for the Cardinals, who fell to Kearsarge 9-0.

The Cardinals will be home for a rescheduled match against Monadnock on Thursday. Play begins at 4 p.m at Monadnock Park in Claremont.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Hopkinton 17, Kearsarge 13
The Cougar girls had contributions from 6 players on attack, with Megan Norris leading the attack with 4 goals and an assist. Emilie Webster contributed 3 goals and 2 assists, and Caroline Camp had 2 goals and an assist. Erin Wheeler had 10 saves in net and Kearsarge had great team defense.
BOYS TENNIS
Trinity 7, Kearsarge 2
Winners for Kearsarge were #1 Senior Captain Tucker Valovic and #3 singles freshman Toby Macleod. #1 Kearsarge doubles team of Tucker Valovic and senior Jake Long lost a close match 6-8. Kearsarge is now 1-2 with Profile coming up Wednesday on the road.
