Warren Allen

SUNAPEE — On Monday, April 15, 2019, Warren K. Allen, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 72.

Warren was born on April 25, 1946 in Newport to Russell and Helen (Koski) Allen. He received his associate’s degree in aeronautical and space engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He went on to work in the building and construction industry for many years and then spent several years in the insurance brokerage business.

On May 18, 1968, he married Kathleen Kerrigan and they had 30 years of marriage before her passing in January 1999. They raised two sons, Matthew and Jeremy, both of which graduated from Sunapee Jr. Sr. High School. In July 2001 he married Margaret Moilanen.

Warren had a passion for life and enjoyed getting to know people. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing and sharing good times. He was always willing to help others no matter the need or situation and loved taking on “projects.”

Warren was preceded in death by his father Rusty, mother Helen, and his first wife Kathy. He is survived by his wife Margaret of Palm Bay, Florida, his sons, Matthew and his wife Robin of Wilton, Connecticut and Jeremy and his wife Lisa of Auburn, his stepchildren Laura and Sara of Wisconsin; his brother Ron; six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 4, 2019 at the Hudson Hill Farm (21 Sleeper Road, Sunapee) at 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. or when everyone falls asleep. We look forward to hearing your stories about him, times spent with him, and saying goodbye to a life well lived and shared with many.
