NEWPORT — On Sept. 13, 2018 Erica Belknap-Morris, 30, of Newport was arrested and released on bail. As part of her conditions of release Belknap-Morris was required to appear in Sullivan County Superior Court on Sept. 20, 2018. Belknap-Morris failed to appear and as a result the Sullivan County Superior Court issued a warrant for her arrest.
On Oct. 24, 2018 Belknap-Morris arrested and charged with theft by unauthorized taking, fraudulent use of a credit card and criminal mischief. She was released on bond.
On Oct. 26, 2018 the Sullivan County Superior Court set a dispositional hearing date of Dec. 6, 2018 in reference to Belknap-Morris’s case. She failed to appear for the disposition hearing and as a result the Sullivan County Superior Court issued a warrant for the arrest of Belknap-Morris for failure to appear.
In addition to the failure-to-appear charge, Belknap-Morris is charged with theft by unauthorized taking, criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit forgery, fraudulent use of a credit card.
Belknap-Morris is a white female, 5-feet tall, 89 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. Her last known address is 270 John Stark Highway in Newport.
