NEW LONDON — New London Hospital is excited to announce an evening of art, drinks, hors d’oeuvres and raffle prizes. The Sip n’ Paint event will be held on Thursday, May 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Livery on Main Street in Sunapee. Artist Christa Zuber, owner of The Place Studio and Art Gallery, will be guiding the evening of art. Tickets are $40. All proceeds will benefit the New Hampshire Casting for Recovery retreat at the Barbara C. Harris Center on June 7-9 in Greenfield. Casting for Recovery is a non-profit organization offering 3-day retreats for women of all ages and in all stage of breast cancer treatment and recovery, at no costs to the participants.
The mission of Casting for Recovery is to enhance the quality of life of women with breast cancer through a unique program that combines breast cancer education and peer support with the therapeutic sport of fly fishing.
“We are so excited to bring this amazing retreat experience to the women of New Hampshire,” said Catherine Bardier, director of wellness and population health at New London Hospital. “The Sip n’ Paint will be a fun evening for the attendees and the funds raised will directly support the expenses of New Hampshire Casting for Recovery retreat.”
Since 1996 CfR has served more than 8,000 women nationwide with the help of more than 1,800 volunteers, including medical and psychosocial professionals, fly fisher instructors and program alumna.
