A dance performance for the Aidron Duckworth Art Museum

MERIDEN — The Vermont Dance Alliance, a group of artists and improvisers, meet during the beauty of Vermont’s spring and summer months to explore site, landscape and movement performance throughout New England. Each venue is met with both choreographed material as well as new movement scores specific to the space, weather, and people who will join the performance offering.

After researching both the Duckworth’s current exhibition as well as the spaces within and outside the building, the performance “In Site” has been created as a traveling movement tour. The audience is invited to feel, question, witness and locomote alongisde the dancing through this moving journey. “In Site” mixes themes and choreography from some of the four dancers’ previous works, threading sections of material together to create a cohesive whole.

The performance is Saturday, May 18 at 6:30. The museum is at 21 Bean Road in Meriden. Please stay to meet the artists, enjoy a light reception, and engage in the museum’s Q & A with the dancers.
