CONCORD — High school students who will be seniors in the fall of 2019 are encouraged to prepare for the college admissions process by enrolling in a four-hour summer boot camp workshop this summer. The workshops are offered by The NHHEAF Network Organizations, a Concord nonprofit agency and the state’s largest source of college planning services.
Two workshops will be offered at the organizations’ Concord campus. During the College Applications workshop, experienced college counselors from the organizations guide participants to begin the college application process by creating a personalized “Application Organizer,” starting the common application, and developing a list of colleges to consider as part of the application process. In the college essay workshop, participants review successful college admission essays, learn what colleges are looking for in a college essay, and begin writing the essay, utilizing common application essay prompts.
“Participating in a four-hour summer boot camp workshop is a relaxed, comfortable way for high school seniors to focus on the college admissions process,” said College Outreach Specialist Angela Castonguay. “We provide helpful, practical tools and tips in a small-group setting to help students get a head start on applying to college.”
The cost for each four-hour workshop is $25. For a complete schedule of all workshops, visit nhheaf.org. To register for a workshop or for additional details, please call 888.747.2382, ext. 119.
Since 1962, the NHHEAF Network Organizations have helped New Hampshire families plan and pay for higher education.
