CHARLESTOWN — Karen L. Boyland, 60, of Charlestown passed away on May 21, 2019 at her home.
She was born in Maine on Jan. 22, 1959 the daughter of James and Dora Boyland. She moved to New Hampshire with her two sons as a single mother.
She had worked at the Tumble Inn Diner before becoming very ill.
Karen was always there for people and was given the nickname “Madukes.” She loved to make people happy. She was a very kind and nice woman.
She is survived by her significant other Frank Burns of Charlestown; two sons, Sean Gonsalves and Matthew Gonsalves and his girlfriend Christine Labrecque; five grandchildren, Octavia Burns, Tyler, Nathan, Danica, and Hannah.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 26 at 1 p.m. at 9 Second Street in Claremont.
