NEWPORT — A grand jury convened at the Sullivan County Superior Court at Newport on May 22 and released the following indictments.
Cheryl Bedell
Cheryl Bedell, 60, of 7 Heritage Drive in Claremont is accused of scratching a 2008 Toyota Tacoma owned by Carl Desilets on Oct. 24, 2018 at Sugar River Mills in Claremont. The resulting damage cost $2.334.74 to repair, and Bedell is therefore charged with criminal mischief with a loss greater than $1,500. The penalty for this infraction is 3½ to 7 years in prison and a $4,000 fine.
Erica Belknap-Morris
Erica Belknap-Morris, 30, of 274 John Stark Highway in Newport failed to appear as ordered on Dec. 6, 2018 in Sullivan County Superior Court, having been ordered to do so on Oct. 24, 2018 to face two charges. The penalty for this infraction is 3½ to 7 years in prison and a $5,000 fine for each of the original charges.
Michael P. Wood
Michael P. Wood, 20, of Cross Street, Apt. B in Newport is charged with committing a theft at 15 Green Street, Apt. C in Claremont on March 29, 2019 in concert with Jeremia M. Kemp. Wood is charged with being an accomplice to a robbery. In the course of taking various drugs, a cell phone, and cash, Kemp put the victim on their stomach and pulled their arms behind their back to restrain them. Wood held the victim down while Kemp searched their backpack, person, and apartment.
The penalty for this infraction is 3½ to 7 years in prison and a $4,000 fine.
Wood has also been charged with conspiracy to commit the robbery; Wood agreed to commit the crime along with Kemp and Rachel D’Agostino. D’Agostino allegedly brought Kemp and Wood to the victim’s apartment and texted them to let them know the victim had returned. Both Kemp and Wood were said to be wearing bandanas and other clothes to disguise their appearance, when D’Agostino let them into the victim’s apartment.
The penalty for this infraction is 3½ to 7 years in prison.
Wood is further charged with witness tampering. When he believed there would be an investigation by law enforcement into the robbery, Wood attempted to get D’Agostino to withhold testimony or information and threatened to kill her or her children if he got in trouble for the robbery.
The penalty for this infraction is 3½ to 7 years in prison and a $4,000 fine.
Jeremia M. Kemp
Jeremia M. Kemp, 19, of 15 Green Street, Apt. C in Claremont is charged with criminal solicitation to commit a robbery. He is charged with convincing Michael P. Wood and Rachel D’Agostino to be involved in the crime committed on March 29.
The penalty for this infraction is 3½ to 7 years in prison.
Kemp is also charged with robbery and being an accomplice to the robbery as well as conspiracy to commit the robbery described above under Wood’s indictments. The penalty for these infractions is 3½ to 7 years in prison for each indictment.
Rachel A. D’Agostino
Rachel A. D’Agostino, 19, of 15 Green Street, Apt. C in Claremont has been charged with conspiracy to commit the robbery with Jeremia Kemp and Michael Wood on March 29. The crime is described in detail as part of Wood’s indictments. The penalty for these infractions is 3½ to 7 years in prison.
D’Agostino is further charged with possession of Adderall on March 29 at 177 Hanover Street in Claremont. The penalty for this infraction is 3½ to 7 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
Terrell Watson
Terrell Watson, 23, of 103 County Farm Road in Unity (Sullivan County House of Corrections) has been charged with conspiracy to tamper with a witness. Watson is accused of attempting to induce Edward Boisvert to inform or testify falsely in the matter of State v. Terrell Watson, Sullivan County Superior Court 2018-CR-00200. On Feb. 28 Watson is said to have directed Kayla Marsh to induce or cause Boisvert to testify that he did not know who shot him or to say that Watson had not shot him.
The penalty for this infraction is 3½ to 7 years in prison and a $4,000 fine.
Kayla Marsh
Kayla Marsh, 27, of 103 County Farm Road in Unity (Sullivan County House of Corrections) is charged with conspiring to tamper with a witness. Marsh agreed with Terrell Watson to induce or cause Edward Boisvert to testify that he didn’t know who shot him. The penalty for this infraction is 3½ to 7 years in prison and a $4,000 fine.
Jennifer Dadah
Jennifer Dadah, 34, of 25 Spruce Street, D7, in Berlin, Vermont is charged with possession with intent to sell of more than a gram of fentanyl. On Jan. 18 Dadah was found in a vehicle in a rest area on I-89 northbound with 3.96 grams of fentanyl. The penalty for this infraction is 10-20 years in state prison and a $300,000 fine.
Dadah is also charged with possession — with intent to sell — of 26 grams of cocaine and 3.96 grams of heroin on that date. The penalty for each infraction is 10-20 years in state prison and a $300,000 fine.
Dadah is further charged with possession — with intent to sell — of methamphetamine. The penalty for this infraction is 10-20 years in state prison and a $100,000 fine.
Finally, Dadah was found to be in possession of suboxone (buprenorphine) with intent to sell. The penalty for this infraction is 3 ½-7 years in state prison and a $100,000 fine.
Brandon Teeter
Brandon Teeter, 19, of 318 Main Street, Apt. 2 in Claremont is charged with conspiracy to commit criminal mischief on Dec. 30, 2018 near Chestnut Street in Claremont. Teeter is said to have agreed with Matthew and Tyler Barry to discharge a firearm at an occupied structure. Teeter is said to have been the driver of the vehicle from which a 9mm pistol was fired and driven the Barrys away from the Chestnut Street area. The penalty for this infraction is 3 ½-7 years in state prison and a $4,000 fine.
Timothy Maclean
Timothy Maclean, 27, of 309 Quaker City Road in Charlestown is charged with possession of fentanyl and alpha-pyrrolidinopentiophenone (alpha-PVP) on Oct. 24, 2018. The penalty for each infraction is 3½-7 years in state prison and a $25,000 fine.
Jesse Hout (aka Jesse Huot)
Jesse Hout, 29, of 435 Main Street in West Lebanon is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated resulting in serious bodily injury on April 19 in Cornish. Hout is said to have driven a 2016 Volkswagen on Route 120 while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and fractured his wrist in a collision. The penalty for this infraction is 3 ½-7 years in state prison and a $4,000.
Brenda Wright
Brenda Wright, 52, of 7 Heritage Drive, Apt. 2C in Claremont has been charged with forgery. Wright is accused of altering checks with the purpose to defraud CW Counseling, and the TLC Family Resource Center. Wright is accused of writing a check dated March 5 for $250 from the Mascoma Saving bank account of CW Counseling and another on March 1 in the amount of $1,350 drawing on the account of TLC Family Resource Center. She is accused of altering a third check for $300 that drew from a personal account at the Navy Federal Credit Union and a check dated Feb. 2 for $550, which drew from a Claremont Savings Bank account belonging to the Greater Claremont Chamber of Commerce. The penalty for each infraction is 3 ½-7 years in state prison and a $4,000 fine.
James Omar Jones
James Omar Jones, 32 of 32 Central Street, #B in Newport has been indicted for unauthorized use of a propelled vehicle or rented property between Dec. 18, 2018 and Feb. 1 in Claremont. Jones had custody of a 2018 Ford Focus, which was rented from Maurice Automobile and the Hertz Corporation. The car due to be returned on Dec. 18, 2018, but Jones refused or neglected to do so. The services were given the value of $1324.17. The penalty for this infraction is 3 ½-7 years in state prison and a $4,000.
Jones has been further indicted for receiving stolen property. He allegedly received custody of the Ford Focus believing it had probably been stolen. The penalty for this infraction is 3 ½-7 years in state prison and a $4,000.
Robert Johnson Jr., 27, of 445 Willow Street in Manchester is accused of delivering four cans of chewing tobacco to the parking lot of the Sullivan County House of Corrections between Jan. 1 and 11. These articles are prohibited on the premises. He is accused of agreeing with Robert Johnson Sr. to commit this crime while a prisoner at the house of corrections. The penalty for this crime is one year in the house of corrections and a $2,000 fine.
Olexandra Beck
Olexandra Beck, 63, of 378 Holden Hill Road in Langdon is accused of animal cruelty. Beck is said to have deprived her thoroughbred gelding, saddle-bred gelding, chestnut gelding and six other horses of necessary sustenance between Nov. 7 and 21, 2018 at Langdon. The penalty for each infraction is 1 year in the house of corrections and a $2,000 fine.
Winter G. Hoisington
Winter G. Hosington, 21, of 66 Myrtle Street, Apt. 1 in Claremont has been indicted for possession with intent to sell on May 2 of a quantity of marijuana greater than an ounce. This possession with intent is said to have taken place within 1,000 feet of Bluff Elementary School in Claremont. The penalty for this infraction is 3 ½-7 years in state prison and a $100,000.
Alan W. Wirkkala
Alan W. Wirkkala, 51, of 483 John Stark Highway in Newport has been indicted for aggravated felonious sexual assault and felonious sexual assault of a 5-year-old between July 23 and Dec. 31, 1984. The penalty for this infraction is 7 ½-15 years in state prison and a $4,000 fine.
Wirkakala is further indicted for felonious sexual assault and aggravated felonious sexual assault on a minor between July 23, 1984 and Dec. 31, 1991 when the victim was 5 to 12 years old. The penalty for this infraction is 3 ½-7 years in state prison and a $4,000 fine.
