CLAREMONT — Laura C. Chamberlain, 93, of Sullivan Street in Claremont, died Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, following a period of failing health. She was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, on Sept. 11, 1925, the daughter of Amos F. and Ruth (Langille) Wilson, and had been a longtime Claremont resident. Laura had been employed by Tambrands in Claremont. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family. Members of her family include two sons, Andy Chamberlain and wife Bobbi, Alan Chamberlain and wife Cathy, a daughter-in-law Merrill Chamberlain, all of Claremont; six grandchildren, Christina Chamberlain, Michael Chamberlain, James Chamberlain and wife Susannah, Kate Phillips and husband Ron, Martha Teixeira and husband Phil, Sarah Ha and husband Shinil; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Wilson of Newport, David Wilson of Fort Myers, Florida; a sister Paula Richards of Laconia; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Amos “Buzzy” Chamberlain; six brothers, Douglas Wilson, Donald Wilson, Aubrey Wilson, Charles Wilson, Ralph Wilson, Norman Wilson; and two sisters, Margaret “Peggy” Wilson and Edna DiPardo. At Laura’s request, there will be no visiting hours or services at this time. A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either the Claremont Firefighters Association Scholarship Fund, 100 Broad St., Claremont, NH 03743; or Lake Sunapee Visiting Nurse/Hospice, 107 Newport Road, New London, NH 03257.
