NEWPORT — The Library Arts Center will present its first “Community Arts Night” and a large-scale community arts project –“Birds of a Feather” under the big tent on the Newport Common from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, June 14.
Make your mark on a large-scale community arts project where participants will paint one of 200 wooden birds that will “fly high” in the trees in locations in downtown Newport throughout the summer. This is free to participate.
The event will feature live music with the band ‘Second Wind’. Food for purchase from food truck Tacos, Tacos, New Hampshire and Sanctuary Dairy Farm Ice Cream.
This family-friendly event is a part of “Spring into Summer” weekend in downtown Newport on June 14th/15th! The weekend festivities also include the popular Newport Brewfest, Newport Chamber Day, Cow Pattie Bingo, and a Pocketbook Auction at South Church in Newport.
