SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Love to read? Enjoy a good story? Sign up at the Springfield Town Library for our Adult Summer Reading Raffle. This year’s theme is “Universe of Stories”. All Springfield Town .
Library card holders 18 years of age and older may sign up to participate anytime throughout the summer. Registration begins Monday, June 17.
To participate, simply sign up at the front desk or online, then throughout the summer, request a raffle ticket for each book read or audiobook listened to. Print your name and telephone number on the raffle ticket and drop it in the raffle container at the front desk. A winner will be drawn each week through Aug. 30. Winners will be notified by telephone the following Monday. This year’s prizes will be a selection of gift certificates from local merchants. Our raffle is once again sponsored by the Friends of the Springfield Town Library (FOSTL).
When participants sign up for the summer reading program, they will receive a coupon worth $2 to the FOSTL Book Sale July 26 and 27. Special programs are planned during the summer using the “Universe of Stories” theme. Saturday, June 22 at 11 a.m., visit with Galileo Galilei at the Library. And, Friday, 28 (rain date 29) at 7 p.m. join us for a Star Party at Stellafane. All free and open to the public.
