American Precision Museum Sustainability Series starts June 15

WINDSOR, Vt. — The American Precision Museum is focusing on Manufacturing for Climate Change in its 2019 Sustainability Speaker Series, which kicks off on Saturday, June 15 in the museum’s Learning Lab at 196 Main Street, Windsor. The inaugural speaker is Richard A. Backer, Environmental Health and Safety Manager for the Northwest Vermont Solid Waste Management District serving Grand Isle and Franklin counties.

“We are fortunate to have an expert to tackle this important topic,” said museum Education Director Scott Davison. “Richard has 25 years of environmental management experience, having worked in multiple industry sectors: the mining and metals; electric transmission and distribution; environmental remediation/ risk management; and biosolids beneficial reuse. His regulatory program expertise spans many areas too, from RCRA hazardous waste; PCBs; stormwater; drinking water; non-point source pollution prevention to Title V air; spill prevention, control and countermeasures; ISO 14001; and facility auditing.”
