Crash may have been cause by driving under the influence

WESTMINSTER, Vt. — On June 9 at 7:45 p.m., troopers from the Westminster barracks responded to the area of 1612 Morse Brook Road in the town of Westminster for a report of a single-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, troopers observed a vehicle with substantial damage to it. The operator, James H. Jackson, 55, of Westminster, Vermont showed signs of impairment while troopers were speaking with him.

Jackson was screened and subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. He was transported to the Westminster barracks for processing. Jackson was released on a citation to appear in court on June 18, 2019 at 8 a.m. to answer to the above charge.
