Punch in the face leads to arrest

SAXTONS RIVER, Vt. — On June 11 at 5:44 p.m., Vermont State Police received a 911 call from someone reporting that she had been punched in the face by Alicia Simonds, 29, of Saxtons River, Vermont.

Troopers with the Vermont State Police responded to the scene on School Street in the village of Saxtons River. After speaking with the victim and other witnesses, it was determined that Alicia R. Simonds had struck the victim in the face, causing damage to the victim’s front teeth.

Troopers located Simonds, who admitted to punching the victim, and was subsequently placed under arrest. Simonds was transported to the Vermont State Police – Westminster barracks where she was processed and released on a citation. She was scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Division on June 12 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the listed charge.
