Rural Outright announces Rural PRIDE sponsors

CLAREMONT — Rural Outright, a community program of TLC Family Resource Center, presents Rural PRIDE 2019 on Saturday, June 15, from noon to 3 p.m., at Barnes Park in Claremont — rain or shine. The event is free, family-friendly and open to the public.

Rural PRIDE would not be possible without the support of our sponsors and community partners. We are excited to announce this year’s sponsors: Lucky’s Coffee Garage, Mascoma Bank, Claremont Savings Bank, Hypertherm HOPE Foundation, Valley Regional Healthcare, PFLAG New Hampshire, Sugar River Bank, and The Taverne.

“The support from community partners and sponsors make it possible for us to bring a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community to Claremont and share in the diversity that makes our community stronger,” said Matt Mooshian, chair of Rural Outright. “We had a fantastic time last year and we hope that this year will be even better.”

TLC Executive Director Maggie Monroe-Cassel sees the event as a way to show the agency’s support of families throughout the community.

“TLC Family Resource Center is dedicated to strengthening and supporting ALL families. With Rural Outright as one of our programs, we are reminding the community that families come in many versions,” she said. “In addition, we are acutely aware of the risk that LGBTQIA youth experience in schools and in their communities. We want to work to make the community safe for all.”
