SUNAPEE — Yvonne Annette McDermott Evans, longtime resident of the Sunapee area and recently, Bradenton, Florida, passed away on June 6, 2019, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born on July 30, 1943, in Cardiff, Wales. Yvonne was a devoted health care professional with a passion for emergency care, working at Alice Peck Day, Dartmouth Hospital, Valley Regional Hospital, and served with local EMS. Yvonne also owned and operated Newport Taxi. She was a lover of travel, the ocean, her gardens, reading and above all, her friends and family. She is survived by her son Jamie Evans of Nashua; daughter Heather Getman of Franklin; as well as grandchildren, Rylee, Ethan, Samuel, Eric and Ella. Also surviving are her sisters, Josie Lee and Emma McDermott of England. Yvonne was predeceased by her loving daughter Blythe Morgan Evans. The family would like to thank her brilliant friends for the incredible love and support.
