NEWBURY — Eleanor M. Bullis, 95, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2019. Born to the late Henry and Ada (Elliot) Perkins on February 11, 1924 in Acton, Maine, Eleanor grew up in the Mt. Sunapee area. She married Allen Bullis in 1943 and they lovingly raised their three children together. She worked at Dorr Woolen in the card room for 42 years before retiring in 1987. Eleanor loved to crochet and was constantly making afghans and mittens for all of the children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, and trips to Old Orchard Beach. She spent her winters in Florida before moving there full-time in 2010. She shared a unique closeness with her sister, Alice, who passed in September of 2010. Eleanor is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 45 years, Allen Bullis, Sr. (1988), her sisters, Alice C. Carrier (2010) and Linda Marie Bullis (1951), and her grandaughter, Tina Marie Osgood (1997). She is survived by her children, Allen (Linda) Bullis of Sunapee, Shirley Tilton of Florida, and Richard Bullis of Florida, special son, Anthony Woodworth, grandchildren, Tim Arquitt, Michael (Bernie) Bullis, Kevin (Sara) Bullis, and Theresa (Tom) Atwood, step-grandchildren, Jason (Gabrielle) Churchill, Michelle (Larry) Kennett, Danielle (Ronald) Hines, Samuel (Jenny) Churchill, and Jeffrey Churchill, 20 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St. Newport, N.H. from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019. A funeral service will start at 11 a.m. with a graveside service at Chandler Cemetery in Newbury, New Hampshire to immediately follow.
