SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — The Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative (VTVLC) is excited to

announce the winner of the “With VTVLC, I can be me” video competition. Anna Preston, a Fall

Mountain Regional High School student enrolled in the River Valley Technical Center video production program was selected as the first place winner.

The contest was open to students to create a 30-60 second public service announcement (PSA) style video which outlines the benefits of online learning for students. Entries must have included selected phrases pertaining to VTVLC programs and be sponsored by a parent or teacher.

Anna’s entry was selected for creativity and the ability of the produced PSA to tell the story about how online learning can help reduce anxiety for students in more traditional high school settings. The first place prize of a GoPro Silver Bundle video production system will be awarded at a short ceremony at the River Valley Technical Center in Springfield, Vermont.

“We wanted students to have a voice in helping other students be aware of the benefits of online learning” said Jeff Renard, director of VTVLC. “Anna did a great job illustrating her message through this production. ”
