Martha I. “Tuti” Frappier

SUNAPEE — Martha I. “Tuti” Frappier, 79, passed away peacefully at her home on June 28, 2019, after a brief period of declining health. She was born on Oct. 31, 1939, in Enfield, to the late Frank Sanders Sr. and Annie M. (Leamond) Sanders. Tuti grew up in West Lebanon and had been living in Sunapee for more than 40 years. She worked in guest services at Mount Sunapee for many years. She enjoyed epic Halloween parties (her birthday) and loved flowers and her garden. Family was very important to Tuti. She was a wonderful Mom, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 38 years in 2015, Raymond Frappier; her parents; son Buddy Couitt; and siblings, Mary Dickerson, Helen Dunham, Katherine Trench, James Sanders and Joe Sanders. Surviving family include her children, Clayton Couitt and wife Lori Jean of White River Junction, Vermont, Tracy Romeo and husband Joe of Newport, Sally Martin and husband Jarrett of Sunapee; goddaughters, Kerry Leatherberry, Kathleen Winters and Helen Romeo; brother Frank Sanders, sister Margaret Sanders; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
