Endorsing Debbie Matteau for city council

To the citizens of Claremont,

When I learned Debbie Matteau had thrown her hat into the arena for city councilor, I offered to write a letter of recommendation on her behalf. It’s my honor to do so.

I believe Debbie possesses a thorough knowledge of the workings of the city of Claremont having lived here for 49 years. She has served as a volunteer on several committees over the years including the Claremont School Board, the zoning board, two city manager search committees, and the master plan steering committee including the master plan subcommittees for housing, facilities and land use.

She is small in stature and has a quiet voice and demeanor, but she is confident. The thing that makes her my candidate of choice is Debbie truly cares about our city and, having worked with her on several committees; I know she always goes one step further to make sure has gotten all the information before acting.

Debbie is patient and attentive to everyone she deals with in her professional life and I am sure she will bring this to the city council. She is committed to the various committees she serves on, and has served on, and respected by all she serves with. She is an asset to our city and I feel will be a dedicated and very hardworking city councilor. Please join me in encouraging your current city council to support Debbie Matteau for the open council seat.
