SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — This project will make improvements to the intersection of US Route 5 and Vermont Route 11 in the town of Springfield, Vermont. The project will install a new traffic signal at the intersection of Route 5 and Route 11, add a dedicated turn lane into the Holiday Inn, and update the signage and pavement markings in the area.
The contractor will continue to work in the corners of the intersection of Route 5 and Route 11. This enables installation of the conduits for electricity to power new traffic signals and signal foundations.
Expect minimal traffic disruptions during construction this week, including singular lane closures. There will be one lane open in each direction at all times. This will occur between approximately 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The project is expected to be completed by November 2019.
