MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — A former middle school teacher in New Hampshire accused of exchanging sexually explicit emails with a 14-year-old student has reached a plea agreement that bans her from working with children.
WMUR-TV reports Jennifer Glidden was accused of exchanging more than 100 emails with the student last year while she was a teacher at Parkside Middle School in Manchester.
Prosecutors said the two used their school email addresses, and the messages were exchanged during school hours.
Glidden pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. She Glidden was ordered to never work with children or teach again. She was also given suspended prison time. Prosecutors said that spares the teen the pain and uncertainty of a trial.
