MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — Bellows Falls’ Maya Waryas’ first-half score stood up for a 1-0 semifinal victory against CVU on Wednesday.
Terriers coach Bethany Coursen will take her Bellows Falls team on a return trip to the University of Vermont to defend their Division I title on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Bellows Falls was seeded 6th and entered the tournament with a 7-7 record and already knocked off No. 3 South Burlington, No. 2 CVU and will now face No. 1 Rice. Rice defeated No. 4 Mt. Mansfield, 1-0, in overtime on Wednesday.

Campbell 3, Sunapee 1
LITCHFIELD — The No. 10 Sunapee Lakers volleyball team traveled to Litchfield to challenge the seventh seed Cougars of Campbell High School for a preliminary round match of the Division III tournament on Wednesday, falling to the home team 3-1.
The Lakers started the match hot, opening a lead that they defended until the end. The Lakers won the first set 25-19.
The Cougars came out hot in set two and ran away with it 11-25.
The Cougars opened a lead in set three but the Lakers fought back to 10-13 before the Cougars pulled away to win 15-25.
The Cougars opened a lead early in set four but the Lakers again came back. The teams were tied at 19-19 when the Cougars put up six points. The Lakers fought hard and pulled to within two before losing the final point. The Lakers lost set four 22-24.
