NORTH SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — Marcia J. Gerow passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2019, at home, following a brief illness. She was born Sept. 11, 1943, in Springfield, the daughter of Alfred and Thelma (Morse) Gerow. She attended Springfield schools, graduating from Springfield High School class of 1961. Marcia was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years, and was employed at Springfield Hospital and the Visiting Nurses Association of Vermont. For the past 17 years, she worked at Biben’s Ace Hardware in Springfield. She was very well-known as a cheerful, upbeat and caring person, always putting others first. She is survived by her six children, Kimberly Sue Bingham and husband Ken of Springfield, Thomas Ebelt Jr. and wife Wendy of Davison, Michigan, Terry Ebelt and wife Beverly of Perkinsville, Jerry Ebelt and wife Cathy of Gaines, Michigan, Michelle Robert of Candia, New Hampshire, and Michael Gerow of North Springfield; three sisters, Thelma Gerow of Perkinsville, Ann Laflamme of Springfield, and Alliene Mobus of Lugoff, South Carolina; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three expected great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents. Friends may call at the Davis Memorial Chapel on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. Private burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.
