Remember to turn back your clocks this weekend. It’s nice to get the extra hour, but that means darkness will come earlier in the evening.
Here are some events to look forward to in November.
The “Silvertones” from Charlestown, N.H., will be singing here on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 1 p.m. Nickel Bingo will be on Friday, Nov. 8 and Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. Game Day (Hand & Foot) will be on Monday, Nov. 11 and Monday, Nov. 25 at 1 p.m. Board Game Day will be on Friday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. For those who have asked, we have a group who will be playing Mahjong on Friday, Nov. 15.
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, we are hosting a luncheon honoring the Veterans of Windsor County. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., lunch will be served at noon. Veterans eat FREE, suggested donation for all others is $5.00. The Kurn Hattin Homes Chorus will again sing for us. This is a collaboration between Springfield Meals on Wheels, the Senior Center, Green Mountain RSVP and New England Kurn Hattin Homes. Please call the Senior Center at 802-885-3933 by Friday, Nov. 8 to sign up if interested.
Tai Chi is still taking place on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. This will go until Nov. 26.
Save the date for our Annual Christmas Bazaar, Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9-1. This is our largest fundraiser. We will be having our Cookie Walk, luncheon and food table along with some of your favorite venders and new ones. A good way to start the Christmas season and shopping.
Calling all cookie bakers, we will be having our annual Cookie Walk and will be in need of homemade cookies. Signup sheets are out for Cookie Walk, kitchen luncheon, and food table. Without your help, the Bazaar would not be the huge success it is.
If you have any questions about anything above, please reach out to Lori Johnson, Executive Director, at either 802-885-3933 or [email protected]
