ROCKINGHAM, Vt. — Edith R. (Moul) Barnett of Darby Hill Road went home to her heavenly Father on Nov. 1, 2019, being cared for by her loving family, in her home, after a long illness. She was born Jan. 9, 1926, in Antrim, New Hampshire, the daughter of Edward and Esther (Smart) Moul. She attended schools in Antrim where she met her longlife partner Robert C. Barnett. They were married July 5, 1943, and moved to Rockingham, managing a farm on Darby Hill and starting a family. Later, they started Barnett Roofing Co. which she was an active part of. Surviving is her daughter Esther Barnett Johnson of Vernon; her son Robert C. “Bob” Barnett Jr. and wife Debra of Vernon; her daughter Linda Barnett Adams and husband Craig of St. Cloud, Florida; her daughter Phyllis B. Barnett Jones and husband Cecil of Hendersonville, North Carolina; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law Midge and husband Richard Parson, and brother-in-law Carlton Barnett. There will be a funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, officiated by Pastor Cecil L. Jones. Burial will follow in the Meeting House Cemetery, Rockingham. There will be no calling hours.
