Weather Watch

Snow in the forecast

Except for a batch of windy weather on Friday, there isn’t much exciting weather information to talk about this week unless you enjoy the chilly temperatures and cloudy days. It definitely turned cooler starting with Friday, Nov. 1 and it was extremely windy.

Power outages were not uncommon in many communities as trees took a beating and fell over power lines. There was one plus for many folks, however. Leaves that had covered the lawns of homeowners just disappeared, thanks to that wind.

The forecast for later in the week calls for 3-6 inches of snow in northern New Hampshire and maybe 1-3 inches on the wet side in southern New Hampshire overnight Thursday.

High school football teams concluded their regular seasons on Saturday, Nov. 2, except for those that made it to the playoffs scheduled to start on Saturday, Nov. 9. That means basketball practice will be starting soon, after a break of a couple of weeks.
