CLAREMONT — Patricia Ann Labrecque, 64, of Claremont, died peacefully at her home in West Unity on Nov. 5, 2019. Pat courageously faced breast cancer and lived her life to the fullest and fiercely loved those close to her. She was born on June 14, 1955, in Fort Kent, Maine, and spent her time in Maine and Connecticut until she settled in her beloved state of New Hampshire. Pat graduated from A.J Prince Regional Vocational Technical School in 1974 in Hartford, Connecticut, with her LPN and received her RN from River Valley Community College (RVCC) in Claremont during her later years. Pat chose to leave her nursing career behind, fondly remembering her pediatric and adult patients, and began working at RVCC. For the next 24 years, she was seen in the financial aid office, helping students and providing a sounding board for those who were struggling. She married Philip Labrecque on Dec. 15, 1979, and welcomed a daughter in the summer of 1981. Pat had many passions, from serving with Kiwanis Children’s Charities to receiving her black belt in Karate. Her call for community involvement spanned her lifetime. Pat and Phil loved to travel and visited Europe, Bermuda, Hawaii and contiguous states, along with numerous trips to Canada. Pat is survived by her husband Philip; daughter Christiane and husband Joseph Dionne; and beloved grandson Declan. Her stepson Dwayne Labrecque resides in Newport. She is also survived by her brother Thomas (Jean) Levesque and sisters Gloria and Diane, all of Connecticut; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Germaine Levesque; and her father Lucien Levesque currently resides in Hartford, Connecticut. Calling hours are on Nov. 10, 2019, from 2-3 p.m. at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St., Claremont. A public celebration of life will immediately follow at 3 p.m. A gathering will immediately follow at the Common Man Restaurant in Claremont.
