RAYMOND — This was a game for the Fall Mountain football history books as the Wildcats will head to Laconia next week to play for a state championship after a dominating 37-0 win on Saturday.

If you were unable to see this game, what a pity. The weather was cold but the play by FM was a firestorm as the offense repeatedly used their strong running game by pounding away for yardage all game long. The FM defense was headed by unforgiving linemen and a healthy dose of interceptions and recovered fumbles.

Izaak Westover led the way scoring 4 times including an interception pick 6 while Luke Gray found Alex Flynn for a 30 yard TD bomb to help grab FM win its first playoffs win in school history.

FM Head coach Orion Binney “I feel great. I knew we had a talented team. Early in the season we had a tough couple of games but they were against a couple of very good teams. I knew our best football would be later. We have a lot of kids who played soccer or were new to football or sat out last season and needed to get used to the speed of the game. I knew this was all possible at the beginning and the team is playing their best football just when they needed to. We didn’t throw in the towel and we’ll be ready next week”.

The #3 Fall Mt. Wildcats will face #1 ranked Winnisquam at the Bank of NH stadium in Laconia on Saturday night at 7pm.

Winnisquam scored 20 second half points against Bishop Brady on Saturday after leading only 14-7 at the half. Andre Cormier rushed for 2 touchdowns for the undefeated Bears during their 34-7 win.
