NEW LONDON, N.H. – November 12, 2019 – Colby-Sawyer seniors Naarah Cox (Boston, Mass./Newton North) and Morgan Flynn (Reading, Mass./Reading) have been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women’s Volleyball Third Team.
Cox and Flynn each earned their second nod to the All-GNAC Third Team. Senior Olivia Goodrich (Epping, N.H./Epping) represented Colby-Sawyer on the All-GNAC Sportsmanship Team.
Naarah Cox led the Chargers with 344 kills and 2.65 kills per set, while hitting .193. Cox led the team with an impressive 90 total blocks on 37 solos and 53 assists. Among conference players in all matches, Cox led the league with 37 solo blocks, was third in total blocks and third in kills. In GNAC matches only, Cox was first in solo blocks with 16, fourth with 30 total blocks and fifth with 134 kills. Cox finishes her career ranked fourth in solo blocks (107), fourth in block assists (200), fifth in total blocks (307), seventh in blocks per set (.72), seventh in kills (979), tied for seventh in attack percentage (.240) and eighth in points (1187.5).
Morgan Flynn led the team with 520 digs and was second with 44 aces. She recorded at least 10 digs in 25 of the 34 matches. Flynn led all players in the GNAC in digs and was fourth in GNAC matches only with 187. She ranked fifth in all matches in digs per set (4.13) and in conference matches (4.07). Flynn ends her collegiate career ranked fourth on the all-time digs list with 1516 and fifth in digs per set at 3.43. Flynn earned one GNAC Libero of the Week award during the season.
Olivia Goodrich was third on the team with 43 aces this season. She finishes her career with 1579 career assists to rank eighth on the all-time list.
GNAC All-Conference selections are determined by a vote of the conference coaches.
