Newport Circuit Court

NEWPORT — The following cases were heard in Newport Circuit Court during the week ending Nov. 9:

Sean P. Tighe, 42, 16 Stagecoach Road, Sunapee, pleaded innocent to criminal threatening Jan. 1 in Sunapee and the charge was placed on file without a finding. He pleaded guilty to reckless conduct, shooting a pepper ball gun at a police officer and was sentenced to 60 days in the Sullivan County House of Corrections with 30 days suspended. He also pleaded guilty to domestic violence Aug. 28 and was sentenced to 12 months in the HOC, suspended, for one year on good behavior and no contact with Christie Hutchinson.

Jeremiah A. Nason, 30, 28 Belding St., Apartment 2, Claremont, failed to appear to answer a charge of operating without a valid license Sept. 24 in Grantham. The case was defaulted through the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles.

Aaron Hess, 27, 132 Reeds Mill Road, Croydon, failed to appear to answer a charge of licensing of dogs May 1 in Croydon and the case was defaulted through the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles.

Christopher Bato, 22, 3 Blodgett Road, Newbury, failed to appear to answer a charge of operating with a suspended registration and driving after suspension Sept. 24 in New London and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Shon McHugh, 43, 92 Spring St., Cambridge, Mass., pleaded guilty to negligent driving on Interstate 89 in New London , speeding at 99 mph and was fined $500. The original charge of reckless operation, speeding 104 mph on Interstate 89, was amended to negligent driving at 99 mph.

Zachary D. Hargreaves, 23, 51 Old County Road, South Newbury, pleaded guilty to driving after suspension (subsequent) Aug. 29 in Newbury and was fined $500. Charges of operating with a suspended motor vehicle registration and uninspected vehicle were withdrawn.

Sarah M. Collins, 27, 36 Colburn Farm Road, Newbury, pleaded guilty to operating without a valid license and was fined $100.

Jeannine V. Greer Carney, 41, 247 Newport Road, New London, pleaded guilty to operating with a suspended registration of a vehicle and was fined $250.

Patrick J. Cook, 56, 180 Meadowbrook, Springfield, pleaded guilty to operating under revocation Nov 12, 2018 in Grantham and was fined $310.

The following cases were heard during the week ending Nov 16:

Timothy E. Wright, 36, 38 Summer St., Newport, pleaded innocent to driving after revocation/suspension Sept, 13 in Newport, was found guilty and fined $250.

Eric E. Maier, 40, 119 Pike Hill Road, Newport, failed to appear to answer a charge of driving with a suspended vehicle registration Sept. 23 in Grantham and the case was defaulted through the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles.

A charge of simple assault; physical contact, against Brandon R. Huff, 40, 10 Stevens Road, Wilmot, was withdrawn. Huff pleaded guilty to resisting arrest/detention and was sentenced to 60 days in the HOC, suspended.

Karen L. MacPherson, 29, 3678 Main St., Springfield, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass July 18 in Springfield and was sentenced to 30 days in the HOC, suspended. A charge of criminal mischief was withdrawn.

Timothy Maley, 60, 86 Pollard’s Mill Road, Newbury, pleaded no contest to a non-inspection inspection charge May 31 in New London, was found guilty and fined $60.

TJ Webb Bressette, Newport, pleaded guilty to breach of bail June 26 in Newport and was sentenced to the HOC for 90 days, deferred to May 12, 2020. A second breach of bail charge was withdrawn along with a charge of detentions and sanctions for default of breach of bail conditions.

A charge of operating without correct class of license (CDL) Aug. 12 in Sunapee against John C. Hannigan Jr., 37, 212 Rockingham Street, Bellows Falls was withdrawn.

A charge of driving after revocation or suspension July 28 in Sunapee against John W. Boardman, 42, 625 Hemlock Road, Charlestown, was withdrawn.

A conditional withdrawal on a charge of speeding 65 mph in a 50 mph zone Aug. 9 in Newbury against Katherine M. Kelly, 17, 93 Circle View Drive, Newbury, was granted on six months of good behavior and participation in a safe driver course to be completed within 90 days.

Ann Marie A. Denneen, 28, 46B Walnut St., Claremont, pleaded innocent to a non-inspection charge July 1 in New London, an administrative finding of guilty was handed down and she was fined $60.

A charge of simple assault/physical contact in Goshen against Kevin C. Drew, 23, 308 North Mill Village Road, Goshen, was withdrawn.

Barbara Z. Lagassa, 78, 105 Greensward Drive, Grantham, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence-impairment, in Grantham and was fined $500 and her license revoked for nine months.

Corey A. Stone, 35, 1433 Route 10 North, Grantham, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, second offense, April 12 in Grantham, was fined $750 and sentenced to 11 days in the HOC with all but five days suspended. A charge of DUI, third offense was withdrawn along with driving under the influence, aggravated, 30 miles per hour over the 65 mph speed limit and six other motor vehicle charges that were also withdrawn.

Kristin L. Redden 32, 50 Mountain View Acres Road, Wilmot, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence—impairment, Sept. 14 in Grantham, was fined $500 and her license revoked for 24 months.

Leo Lawrence, 54, 110 Lafayette St., Claremont, pleaded innocent to driving after revocation/suspension Sept. 25 in Newport and the case was placed on file without a finding. A charge of operating with a suspended vehicle registration was also placed on file without a finding.

Cote BC Swenson, 30, 758 Route 10, Grantham, failed to appear to answer a charge of driving after revocation/suspension Sept. 12, 2018 in Newport and the case was defaulted through the New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles.

John J. Fitzgerald, 51, 309 Bradford Road, Newport, pleaded innocent to false imprisonment May 1 in Newport and was found innocent. He pleaded innocent to obstructing a report of crime/injury and was found innocent. He pleaded innocent to physical contact (simple assault), was found guilty and fined $200.

Bethany E. Tatro, 29, 167 Four Corners Road, Springfield, pleaded no contest to speeding 62 mph in a 35 mph zone, June 26 in New London, was found guilty and fined $434.

Jacob M. Morse, 29. 15 Lower Main St., Sunapee, pleaded guilty to driving after revocation/suspension-driving under the influence, Feb. 11 in Grantham, was sentenced to 60 days in the HOC with 53 days suspended. He was ordered to serve seven consecutive 24-hour periods in the HOC commencing April 3, 2020 and his license was revoked for 12 months.

Philip J. Damone Jr., 34, 18 Dunbar Hill Road, Grantham, pleaded innocent to speeding 63 mph in a 40 mph zone Oct. 25 in Croydon, an administrative finding of guilty was handed down and he was fined $200.
