‘Twas the Night Live!’ event returns for 3rd year

ANGELA KELLEY
SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — On Saturday, Nov. 30, the historic Hartness House Inn will once again transform into a Christmas wonderland where children and adults alike will experience the magic of the season. This event, created by Carrie Jewell, has become an annual holiday kick-off tradition for families and visitors to the greater Springfield region.

All proceeds are to benefit the Springfield Area Parent Child Center which serves thousands of parents, children, families and caregivers with support and education each year.

In a small group of less than twenty people, each attendee will embark on a journey through the inn to witness the legendary tale of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” in an interactive performance presented by local talent. Moving room to room, your group will be delighted by the skill of dancing and singing elves, a magical puppet show, a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and so much more.

Each year, the show is a little different than the last, so be prepared for some fun surprises along the way.

Live music will fill the air with holiday cheer. The tavern will be transformed into Santa’s “Gift Shoppe” where children can decorate their own cookie, attendees can shop for souvenirs and other fun items, and families can take a seat and warm up with a complimentary cup of coffee or cocoa. End the experience with a quaint, horse-drawn wagon ride (weather permitting).

No ticket is needed to stop in and bid on our many amazing silent auction items including a three night stay in Nashville TN with a tour and tasting at the Jack Daniel’s Distillery, a Red Sox baseball signed by Eduardo Rodriguez, a Boston Bruins hockey puck signed by Connor Clifton, and many other items generously donated by the local business community and friends of the organization.

There will be 24 shows to choose from between 9:00 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. Several times are already sold out, so please order tickets soon for preferred times. Go to www.sapcc-vt.org for more information and to purchase tickets. Call Springfield Area Parent Child Center at 802-886-5242 for additional assistance.
