Norman F. LaCoille

NORTH WALPOLE — Norman F. LaCoille, 77, of Spruce Street, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019. Norman was born on June 23, 1942, the son of Henri and Mildred (Croteau) LaCoille. He was a 1960 graduate of Keene High School, served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and worked 33 years for Bryant Grinder Corp. Norman was an active member of the American Legion Post #37 and served as post commander. He was also a member of the Bellows Falls, Vermont, Country Club and the VFW in Springfield, Vermont. He enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, going to casinos and wintering in Myrtle Beach. In 1996, he married Janice Aylward who survives. Also surviving are his children, Neil LaCoille, Laura Hewitt and husband Charles, all of Bellows Falls, and Elizabeth Mercier and husband CW3 Paul Mercier of Walpole; his brother Stanley LaCoille of Cocoa, Florida; his sisters, Rita Anderson of Manchester, and Norma Collier of Folsom, California; his grandchildren, Jessica and Johannah Gleason, Benjamin and Alyson Hewitt, Kristen Cavaliere and husband Anthony, Chad Lawlor, Ryan Lewis, Noah Rohane and Joseph LaCoille; and his great-granddaughter Everly Clark. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister Shirley LaCoille; brothers, Reggie, Henry and Kenneth LaCoille; his sisters-in-law, Virginia LaCoille, Eleanor LaCoille, Pat Houle and Mary Jean Morrissette; brothers-in-law, Herbert Anderson, John Collier, John Aylward, Donald Houle and Roger Morrissette. There will be calling hours 6–8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, Vermont. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at St. Peter’s Church in North Walpole, with burial to follow in the St. Peter’s Cemetery.
