Springfield Senior Center News: Dec. 7

As we enter the season of snow and cancellations, if Springfield schools are closed that means that the Senior Center will be closed. If Springfield schools are running on a delay, the center will also be delayed the same amount of time.

Wednesday, Dec. 4,

Kathi Byam, Karen Engdahl and Rob Mackenzie present “A Happy Holiday Program.” Thanks to Cathy Honeywell for chairing the refreshments and to Anne Stocker, Debbie Smith, Cathy Honeywell, Linda Wilson, Linda Roys, and Judy Greene for providing refreshments. Additionally, thanks to Dale O’Brien for doing our December Birthdays and Bryce Honeywell for video taping for SAPA TV.

Thanks to Judy Green and Linda Wilson for decorating our center for Christmas.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

Game Day (Hand & Foot) cards at 1 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 12

The Book Club will meet. We will discuss the book “Glass Houses” by Louise Penny. Anyone is welcome to join the group at any time.

Friday, Dec. 13

Nickel Bingo at 1 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 16

Paulette Shambo will be offering Christmas Crafts to make and take home once again this year. Come and see what new ideas Paulette has this year at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 18

We will have our Christmas Program featuring the Songsters. We hear Santa may even drop in on us. Linda Wilson will chair the refreshments at 1 p.m.

We will have a food drive for the Family Center here in town.

Thursday, Dec. 19

The knitting will meet at 1 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 20

Board Games (which now has Mahjong players) at 1 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 23

Game Day (Hand & Foot) cards at 1 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 27

Nickel Bingo at 1 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 30

Board Games (which now has Mahjong players) at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

We will have our New Year’s Party at 1 p.m. Terry Ryan and Rick Monarch will provide the entertainment this year. More details to come.
