SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — The Springfield Garden Club would like to thank the civic minded sponsors and guests who made the 27th Annual Festival of Trees a huge success. If you missed the event on the Friday before Thanksgiving, you can still view the trees and trimmings through Jan. 3 at the Great Hall, located at 100 River Street in Springfield.
The Club appreciates the following local organizations who each decorated a tree: Claremont Savings Bank, Cuppity Kakes, Gallery at the VAULT, Great Hall Craftmakers, HB Energy Solutions, Kelley Sales & Service, Tina’s Hallmark, Town of Springfield, VNA & Von Bargen’s Jewelry. This year’s tree winner, voted in by attendees, was Tina’s Hallmark.
The Garden Club is grateful to the members and spouses who made the event possible, including Ted Foster, 100 River Street building manager, and Richard Barber, who both provide enthusiastic assistance. Thank you goes to artist Dan O’Donnell for designing the invitation again this year. The Club would also like to thank Black Rock Steakhouse for the tasty, hot appetizers and cheerful bar service.
One hundred percent of all proceeds go back to serve the community in the form of civic beautification, scholarships and other programs. The Club would like to acknowledge the following list of sponsors who gave a corporate donation, raffle item or silent auction gift. Merry Christmas and a happy holidays to all.
