UGLY SWEATER CONTEST

At Mount Sunapee. Join us for what will surely be the ugliest ski parade around as we all snake down Eggbeater, followed by judging to find he worst of the worst. Prizes and holiday treat to follow on the Goosefeather Pub deck.

SUNSHINE DINER

Free Community Dinner, Episcopal Church, Newport, last Sunday of every month. Donations accepted to support future meals. Dec. 29 menu will feature roast pork and gravy with mashed potatoes.

NEW YEAR’S EVE

Join your friends and family at Mount Sunapee for a delicious dinner, bonfire and fireworks show to close out 2019 and welcome in the New Year. Festivities that will wrap up around 9 p.m. for those that can’t quite make it all the way to midnight.

The Newport Senior Center will be hosting a Winter Carnival Breakfast on Sunday, Feb. 16 at the Center, 76 South Main St., Newport, 8–10 a.m., $8 per plate, 8 and under, $5 per plate, menu includes bacon, sausage, eggs, fruit, French toast, homefries, toast, pastries, bagel, coffee juice, volunteers and donations needed.
