Police cruiser collides with pickup truck, officer hurt

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire police officer driving with his emergency lights and siren on suffered minor injuries after colliding with a pickup truck Thursday.

Portsmouth police said the officer, Thompson Potter, 39, was traveling north on the Route 1 Bypass at about 12:50 p.m. when his cruiser collided with the truck traveling east. Potter was responding to a reported disorderly conduct/road rage incident, police said.

The other driver reported no injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
